Synopsis
Tony Wendice, an ex-professional tennis player, married Sheila for her money. When he discovers she is having an affair with a crime writer, he plans to murder her. He arranges the perfect murder. He blackmails a scoundrel he used to know into strangling her for a fee of one thousand pounds, and arranges a brilliant alibi for himself. Unfortunately, all does not go according to plan.
